Chris is a life-long resident of North East; his family having lived on the same farm since 1815. Chris has been practicing law for over twenty years.
Over the course of his career, Chris has worked in-house with the corporate real estate departments of AutoZone, Inc., and Advance Auto Parts, handling the contracting and acquisition of store sites, with sellers and developers, and then as Assistant General Counsel of United Refining Company, handling real estate, contracts, litigation and employment matters.
Chris regularly handles both residential and commercial real estate transactions and assists clients with title matters. He also represents clients in commercial lending transactions and various other types of financing transactions.
In addition to his experience in real estate matters, Chris has comprehensive experience in and routinely represents clients across a number of practice areas including business transactions and business formation, civil litigation, employment law, landlord/tenant law and contracts, corporate and regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Chris has attended over 50 unemployment compensation hearings representing employers and employees alike and has represented unemployment compensation clients successfully before the UC Board of Appeals.
During law school, Chris was honored to receive the Best Brief award for Advanced Moot Court.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Leigh Ann, and their three kids, Madeline, Mallick and Max.
Leigh Ann concentrates her practice on family law, estate planning & administration, and real estate. With over twenty years of experience, she has successfully litigated and received favorable rulings in numerous family law matters including custody and support. Leigh Ann is also collaboratively trained in family law matters and has experience in handling divorces, adoption, support, child custody, prenuptial agreements, and postnuptial agreements.
She graduated summa cum laude from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree in 1992 and later earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and graduated cum laude from the University of Memphis in 1995. Following her graduation from law school, Leigh Ann practiced at a small firm in Memphis, Tennessee. After moving to the Erie area, she operated her own general practice firm, served as an adjunct professor at Gannon University, and then practiced law with a large firm.
Leigh Ann has written and edited several articles in connection with elder law and estate planning issues. She has also presented various seminars on family law and elder law issues and is a former Article Editor for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) Student Journal and former member of NAELA and PAELA. She is involved in various sections of both the Erie County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is a former member of the Estate Planning Council of Erie and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Leigh Ann was selected as the North East News Journal Readers’ Choice “Best Attorney” for 2012, 2013 and 2017. She is actively involved in the North East community and is a Board Member of the Community Nursing Services of North East. Leigh Ann is also a former Steering Committee member of the former North East Business Women’s Roundtable and a current member of the North East Chamber of Commerce and the Order of the Eastern Star, Shiloh Chapter No. 153, North East.
